Read this link from Jeff Markwart he has done some testing on this very issue.I would look to replace the loading cap with felt in the back cover.The loading cap adds protection to the diaphragm to prevent over excursion with a XO point below 1000 Hz.This really is only necessary (Loading Caps) with high output levels.In a home setting go with the felt in the back cover cap.Sounds better ! My 604-8G's came with loading caps.
